I made this about a year or two ago….most likely during the summer. I think this drawing has the potential to look better and maybe even a bit brighter…

Matthew 7:13-23 Clearly shows the direction certain roads leads to. Simply put: 

(1) wide is the gate, broad is the road that leads to destruction

(2) small is the gate, narrow  the road that leads to everlasting life.

WHATS YOUR CHOICE?   LIFE OR DESTRUCTION.

 He was thinking love. He said you’ve messed up and now we’ve been separated and apart for such a long time. I will give you a gift so that the next time you mess up without wanting to you can call on and go to that gift and we will be together again, reunited. I’ll give you a gift that shows you everytime you mess up I am still here with open arms, ready to embrace you, cover and fill you with My love. I’ve loved you so much that I can no longer want to be separate from you, for the love I have for you is greater than you can imagine. This is why I gave you My Son, Jesus, who is of Me. He still lives. My gift to you is still ALIVE.

Nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Nothing can separate us from the love God has for us.

Why?

Because of Jesus, who is the Son of God. The gift God gave to us.

God gave Himself.

Now I am fully aware and convinced, with understanding, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

Are you fully convinced and aware that nothing can separate us from the love of God?

Look at how much God loves us. He gave His Son that we may be able to have an intimate relationship with Him, that we may be reconciled to Him. Jesus is the greatest love gift that can be given, but only God is capable of giving Jesus to us…and God gave it.                   How awesome is that!!!

We were separated by our first love (God) because of sin. It is Jesus that makes us able to reunite with God. At this time, it is still sin that temporarily separates us from God. It is still Jesus who make us able to reunite with God. When we repent we are able to do so through Jesus, When we are forgiven it is because of Jesus. Jesus is the bridge between God and us.

My son, if you receive my words,
      And treasure my commands within you,
       ² So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
      And apply your heart to understanding;
       ³ Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
      And lift up your voice for understanding,
       ⁴ If you seek her as silver,
      And search for her as for hidden treasures;
       ⁵ Then you will understand the fear of the LORD,
      And find the knowledge of God.
       ⁶ For the LORD gives wisdom;
      From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
       ⁷ He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
      He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;

Verse 17 speaks of the immoral woman “who forsakes the companion of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God.”
The covenant of her God is the marriage covenant. When married, a couple makes an agreement in the presence of God. In the new living translation this verse says, “she has abandoned her husband.” which means she has broken the covenant.

*Perverse: wayward or cantankerous. (2nd definition) turned away from what is right, right good, or proper; wicked or corrupt.

*Covenant: an agreement usually formal, between two or more  persons to do or not to do something specified. (2nd definition)a formal agreement or legal validity, especially one under seal.

*Forsake: to quit or leave entirely; abandon; desert. (2nd definition) to give up or renounce.

Abandon: to leave completely and finally; forsake utterly; desert. (2nd definition) to give up; discontinue; withdraw from.

*Proverbs 2 explains the way of evil in verses 12 through 15. It explains or tells of the way of the immoral woman and what yielding or submitting to her will lead to in verses 16-19.

Are verses 1 through 11 showing those who read it that understanding, discernment, wisdom, and knowledge delivers an individual from the way of evil and from the immoral woman?  

Proverbs 2:1-11

• Shows how to understand the fear of the Lord and find knowledge of God (Verses 1-5)
• Shows who knowledge and understanding come from, and who gives wisdom (“For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6 NKJ) Now that you know this, you can ask Him(God) for it. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” - James 1:5 NKJ
• Shows the result of having wisdom and when knowledge becomes pleasant for us (Verses 10-11).

Consider, again, verses 3 and 4; “Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures…”  quired, obtained or found.

Proverbs 2 speaks of wisdom, understanding, and knowledge…I am reminded of how much perseverance a man puts in pursing a woman that he is sincerely attracted to. Should that be? Is it natural?

The comment “he just wants to get in your pants” (which is told by most mothers and/or fathers to their daughters) throws out the reason of true persuasion…does it throw out the meaningfulness of it also? Sure the comment may be true with some, but with all? It cannot be. And fear can stop something good or bad from happening. ie: the woman for fear of being used will most definitely push away the man pursuing her (resulting in rejection) and the man for fear of being viewed as one of those types of men (or being stereotyped) will not pursue the woman that he is interested in at all. So, how would or could someone avoid this or any other misunderstanding? Other than doing what Matthew 6:33 says, Proverbs 2:10-11 says  

     “When wisdom enters your heart,
      And knowledge is pleasant to your soul, 
      Discretion will preserve you; 
     Understanding will keep you”

*Discretion: the power to decide or act according to one’s own judgement. (2nd definition) the quality of being discreet; prudence or decorum; tactfulness.

*Preserve: to keep alive or in existence; make lasting. (2nd definition) to keep safe from harm or injury; protect or spare.
