You Think It’s Hard…

If you think just because you pray everyday, pick up your Bible to read a single verse, or your parents go to church all while you are living in sin

(impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility quarreling, jealousy, anger, envy, drunkenness, murders, adulteryGalatians 5:19-21) that you are able to receive God’s promises, then think again because you are wrong.

Isaiah 59:1-2 “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.”

1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

It is only when you are in right standing with God that He is able to hear your prayers. It is only when you repent  of your sins that He will turn his ear to you. For some people it may be difficult to accept that they are wrong. Because of pride and self-exaltation some people may think “I don’t need to repent to God for what I’ve done in my life!” Consider this when someone wrongs you or you want mercy. Don’t start quoting scriptures that you have no right quoting.

For example: someone or a group of people may hate you, all they want to do is go after you to cause you harm, because of this you may say, ” no weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue that rises against me in judgement thou shall condemn” If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your own Savior and if you have not repented of your sins against God then who are you to use His (God) word for your own good. More so what makes you think that it will work! However, if you have repented, and your heart is humble and open to God then you are able to use Gods word (specifically this scripture Isaiah 54:17 in a situation like the one above) in your life. You are able to say no to what the enemy wants to deposit in your life.

If you desire to accept Jesus as you Saviour, Redeemer, Counselor then follow these steps

1) Admit you are a sinner. Understand that no one is righteous, not even one. We have all fallen short of the glory of God, the only one that was and is perfect is the one who died for us.(Romans 3:10)

2)Be willing to turn from the sin(s) in your life. God wants us to repent, that he may be able to enter into our lives.(Acts 17:30)

3)Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, that He was buried and rose again from the dead to pay the price for your sins. (Romans 10:9-10)

4)Pray and invite Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Saviour.(Romans 10:13)

Say this prayer and it is important to believe in your heart and with all your heart as you say it.

Father, I am a sinner in need of your forgiveness. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins in Jesus name. I repent and turn from sinning and doing wrong, right now. I believe that Jesus died and rose again for my sin and I accept His payment. Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart, right now, and be my Lord and Saviour.Fill me with the Holy Spirit. I thank you Lord for hearing my prayer and coming into my heart and saving me according to your word. I love you Lord, and I ask you to seal me in the blood of Jesus and help me to live for you all the days of my life.

In Jesus name Amen.

After you’ve said this prayer continue to believe it in your heart. Know that you may think that it is hard to turn from your sinful ways but trust and know that nothing is impossible for God(Matthew 19:26). If you feel that your heart is willing but your flesh won’t listen ask God to give you the strength to live right in His eyes. Ask God for courage to continue living for Him, and to boldly declare that, “Yes I believe Jesus is the Lord, He is my saviour, Nothing is impossible for God, he is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all I ask or think. Glory and Honor be to God, He is amazing in all His ways”.

Thank you Father God for your word and using me to share your word that those who are lost may be saved and brought into the light of your love. Father, thank you for saving me when you did. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins that I have committed against you. Thank you for sacrificing your son that I may be reconciled with you. God thank you for your love and mercy and even more your compassion. Thank you for illuminating your word in my mind. Thank you for walking with me, guiding me, protecting me and most of all disciplining me that I may learn from my mistakes. Thank you God for your faithfulness towards me, with my life I shall continue to praise thee in spirit and in truth. Thank you for the love you have given me that I may give to others. I am only able to love others as you have loved me, I am only able to be patient because you have been patient with me. Father, thank you. All glory honor and praise be to God the Creator of Heaven and Earth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Through the Holy Spirit and for the Glory of God. TC
