Love One Another

Little children, I am with you [only] a little longer. You will look for Me and, as I told the Jews, so I tell you now, ‘Where I am going, you are not able to come.’   I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.”

To Contain my Excitement…

…I needed to read some scriptures before I started worrying about an acceptance package/letter for a paid internship program.

Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

 Proverbs 3:6

…in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Matthew 6:25-27

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

There is a reason why we are to hide God’s word in our hearts.    🙂 Scripture helps..

He’s Always Here

Deuteronomy 3:8
” The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

In troubled times, uncomfortable situations or nervous moments, God is always with you. The Bible says that The Lord himself goes before you. Meaning he won’t let you enter something you can’t handle. Whatever the situation God walks in before you even get there. He is our protector. The Bible continues to say, “He will never leave you nor forsake you”. This is a promise from God, He will never leave us, nor forsake us. We are His children, we are His.

And the last part of the verse “Do not be afraid;do not be discouraged.” For what reason should we allow ourselves to feel afraid or discouraged when we have God with us. Our Father who will never abandon us, or leave us. Even when we may feel like we’ve had enough and it’s time to give up, God will be here and He will give us that little push we may need to continue – He never gives up on us.

When you can’t trust anyone else, you can trust God.

Psalm 121

Psalm 121

I lift up my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip – he who watches over you will not slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you – the Lord is your shade at your right hand;

the sun will not harm you day by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm – he will watch over your life;

the Lord will watch over your coming and going

both now and forevermore. 🙂

This is Me! Love Me or Leave Me!

I just came from church a couple of minutes ago. The sermon was great, I don’t know how much people tonight’s sermon touched but it definitely touched me. What I got out of the sermon is that I need to be okay and content with who I am. NO ONE is perfect. We have to understand our faults and mistakes. Sometimes a couple of people may be disillusioned about who and what they really are. How we see ourselves may and can be very different from how others see us. Sometimes in your mind you can set your self on a pedestal, but truthfully your not.

I have plenty of thoughts regarding tonight’s sermon. I’m sorry I don’t remember the person’s name but, his sermon was really good. Some people, including me, need to have whatever illusion they have of themselves broken to match reality. Jesus can see what and who we really are, God knows our highest potential…whew tonights sermon was GREAT!!!

                                                                                                   ___NOTES___

—- Availability and Useability are two different things. We may be available for God to use us the way he wants to, but we may not yet be useful.

—- Take a step back, ask Jesus show me the reality of who I am. Take a step back to realize that sometimes I am wrong and sometimes I am right.
