Tuesdays Devotional

Today’s devotional was a funny one. A king who is said to be filled with pride says a command to have his chair be placed near, very near to the tide, without getting wet. He then commands the tide to not wet him or to not wet him, BUT the tide keeps rising!

The rest of the devotional is pretty much written like this. However, in the end we read that God is the master of the oceans, the waters, the skies, the sun and the stars; He is even master over the clouds and certainly master over us.

The Our Daily Bread Devotional for March 7th 2017 was titled Ruler of the Waves with scripture Job 38:1-18.

I tend to see this part of Job as a humbling section of the Bible. Truly, I believe only God has the answers to the questions He asks Job.

As I wrote this I choose to include a song from YouTube. Enjoy ūüôā

You Are My Master by NYC’s Finest, Whatz Good Entertainment

Brian sang this song live and a cappella when we were at a charismatic Christian (Catholic) conference, it sounded better then how it is heard in this video.

Amazing and Update

I heard this song a few hours ago…I like it…I really like it. lol Plus¬†this song is¬†in my song book(The Worship Book)¬†by Hal Leonard!!!Which means I get to practice playing this song on my guitar!!!!I’m so excited right now.

Also I got a new Bible¬†last week¬†Monday!!!(the same time I got¬†The Worship Book)Yayyy! It’s a Womans Devotional Bible New King James Version. My first bible is the¬†NIV(new international version) and I’ve had it for a few years now and I wanted another version so I got the NKJV¬†(which is closer to the original KJV).¬† The thing with the¬†song worship book and the song Indescribable is that I only got the book because it says “easy guitar” I didn’t know most of the songs that were in it but as long as they were gospel it was alright with me.Anyway, I listened to the song Indescribable¬†last Wednesday and yesterday I was practicing Lamb of God (another song) but I started reading the words on the page before Lomb of God and I realized I heard these words before and they sound familiar. I looked at the title of the song and it said Indescribable, and I was thinking wow the words are really good.¬†And then this morning I’m on YouTube and I remember the song Indescribable by Chris Tomlin is in my favorites playlist so I play the song and I’m like “ohhhhhhh this is the song from last night”. Laughing out loud.

God is so Amazing, I just can’t stop saying it, AND I don’t want to stop saying it. ūüėÄ

Romans 12:14-21

What sets us apart as Christians is not only our belief in God but also doing what He has told us to do (following His commands and laws). Romans 12:14-21 talks about not having hate against our enemies and staying in a position where we continue to love those who hurt us.

No matter how bad the hurt is, we are to Verse 14 –¬†Bless those who persecute us and don’t curse them. Verse 17 –¬†Do not repay anyone¬†evil for evil. Verse 18¬†– Keep peace with everyone if it depends on you. As you read further we are to provide, if asked, for our enemies if they are in need of something you have(Verse 20). Lastly we have to overcome evil with good. Not evil with evil.

I’m still working on doing as Romans 12:14 – 21 says. Honestly it is difficult¬†to bless those that pursposefully curse you (I know from experience).¬†But the good thing is if you’ve accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior then you can ask God to give you whatever you need to¬†bless those who curse you and to repay only good with evil.¬†

To allow Jesus to come into your heart follow these steps: (taken from You Think It’s Hard… )

1) Admit you are a sinner. Understand that no one is righteous, not even one. We have all fallen short of the glory of God, the only one that was and is perfect is the one who died for us.(Romans 3:10)

2)Be willing to turn from the sin(s) in your life. God wants us to repent, that he may be able to enter into our lives.(Acts 17:30)

3)Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, that He was buried and rose again from the dead to pay the price for your sins. (Romans 10:9-10)

4)Pray and invite Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Saviour.(Romans 10:13)

Say this prayer and it is important to believe in your heart and with all your heart as you say it.

Father, I am a sinner in need of your forgiveness. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins in Jesus name. I repent and turn from sinning and doing wrong, right now. I believe that Jesus died and rose again for my sin and I accept His payment. Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart, right now, and be my Lord and Saviour.Fill me with the Holy Spirit. I thank you Lord for hearing my prayer and coming into my heart and saving me according to your word. I love you Lord, and I ask you to seal me in the blood of Jesus and help me to live for you all the days of my life.

In Jesus name Amen.

He is My E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G

The He I’m talking about is God. He can be your everything¬†also, all you have to do is let Him in your heart. Jesus died for us so that we can be reconciled with our Father; that means we can … Continue reading
