Take Three – Karen Kinsbury & Update

Take Three

Paperback cover

Loved it!
Take Three is the third book in Karen Kingsbury’s Above The Line Series. It holds the continuing story of Chase Ryan and Keith Ellison’s dream in changing the world through film. The relationship between Bailey Flanigan and Tim Reed. Along with the mending friendship between Bailey and, Cody Coleman. Although Take Three continues the life of the main characters, this book focuses a little more on Andi Ellison and the consequences of the choices she made in Take Two. Faith, love and relationships with God are restored and others are made stronger. Some friendships break and while others are rekindled.

Hardcover Cover of Take Two

I always say there is a little more truth in some fiction novels than, no truth at all.

I read Take One and Take Two already and both of them were great. The story just keeps on escalating. I would’ve written a review for Take One and Take Two, but I’ve just been so busy lately. I’ve been busy mostly with school,  still aiming to get a 4.0  this semester,  and with God. I’ve realized that God only wants whats best for me, so I should really want what’s best for me also. Why should I settle for less when God whats me to have so much more, to live life more abundantly (not money or acquiring material objects).  I want to live for God, to do his will in my life. I just know God is going to do great things in my life and at the same time, great things in the lives around me, even those who I may not even know.

So as I said before I’ve been busy lately sorting my interests and my priorities, praying…and reading.

I almost forgot, in a previous post I was writing about feeling anxious about being accepted into a college internship program. Well…I didn’t get accepted. I was talking about the Disney College Program in Florida.  I’m fine about not being accepted. There are probably a ton of reasons to why I was not accepted. What matters is that  I know this is Gods will and I know that  “… in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28

He’s Always Here

Deuteronomy 3:8
” The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

In troubled times, uncomfortable situations or nervous moments, God is always with you. The Bible says that The Lord himself goes before you. Meaning he won’t let you enter something you can’t handle. Whatever the situation God walks in before you even get there. He is our protector. The Bible continues to say, “He will never leave you nor forsake you”. This is a promise from God, He will never leave us, nor forsake us. We are His children, we are His.

And the last part of the verse “Do not be afraid;do not be discouraged.” For what reason should we allow ourselves to feel afraid or discouraged when we have God with us. Our Father who will never abandon us, or leave us. Even when we may feel like we’ve had enough and it’s time to give up, God will be here and He will give us that little push we may need to continue – He never gives up on us.

When you can’t trust anyone else, you can trust God.

He May Have Won The Battle, But Not The War…Not The War!!

Shes reading “The List” by Sherri Lewis while on the bus heading home. Shes sitting in the back and there’s a woman on her left and a ma on her right. Her only interest at that moment was to continue reading that book( cuz ya know when she lands her hands on a good book she doesn’t want to take her eyes off it lol). So the bus still has a while to go before she reaches her stop. At this point the man to her right asks her ” excuse me do you know how long it will take this bus to reach its final destination”. She answers the man politely even though she’s thinking why is this man bothering me?, can’t he see that I’m READING! so anyway she answers ” about another 20minutes too a half hour before this bus reaches its final destination”. He continues to talk to her even though she has redirected her attention to the novel she has in her hands. Five minutes pass and she starts to notice that the man at her right is fidgeting way too much…she’s contemplating whether or not she should find another seat or just continue reading. She choose to continue reading. After about another 2minutes the man starts to ask her questions about what she’s reading? and are you gaining anything from it? he goes on and on and on and on. She’s having patience with this guy…she’s answering his questions trying to defend herself because whatever this guy is trying to do is not friendly. AT ALL! he comes to start talking about the Bible. You can tell when a stranger has good intentions or bad intentions with the way they are talking to you. It’s the tone of voice, the words they use,…something just isn’t right. Somthin’s not right…For the life of her as a christian she first vibe she got from this was negative. Although she tried to defend herself and God and the scripture…but then she started to think what if this is God trying to send me a message(because at this stage of her life she’s depending on God to answer her prayers and take her out of confusion) what if I’m talking to this guy for a reason…

you see the thing is…when she got home and took a walk, and listened to this service her biological father told her to listen to a couple of days ago, she knew what went wrong. But now God has tought her another lesson and she will keep this lesson close just like all the other ones.

THANKS BE TO GOD, ALL THE GLORY, HONOR AND PRAISE, FOR SAVING ME ONCE AGAIN, for keeping me and holding me and ALWAYS  protecting me, even if it’s from myself.

This is a long story, so please pardon me. Feel free to comment on your opinions if your interested.

When you get a chance listen to what I listened to: The Potter’s House,T.D. Jakes The Blood Speaks. Google it if you can, it is honestly a great sermon. Thanks for reading Love to ALL.

He’s Great!

God is truly Great,

He answers my prayers, and yours too.

His ears are always open

God’s love for us is never-failing.

Today, so far, is going quite well. Even though I woke up an hour late for school, I got there three minutes late. I woke up in a terrible mood, and had no plans on being friendly towards anyone who came in contact with me. This is not how I was supposed to be acting as a Christian, I shouldn’t have gotten so disturbed easily in the first place. The only way I calmed down was to read my Bible, particularly some parts of Psalms.

The best way to calm down when you feel like throwing bricks or taking a kick boxing class is to read your Bible and if you’re a bit stubborn when it comes to letting the word infiltrate you then pray and have a break I guess, but it is always good to read the word and pray. I learned this the hard way.

Just like some Christians who try to live right by God and to follow the ways of Jesus it takes time to do things right. It takes time to learn how we are supposed to deal with our problems. It takes time for us to learn what is right and what is wrong( even though some of the stuff we want to know is right in the Bible). Wㄷ …ㅕㅡ ㅑ 애ㅜ’ㅅ ㅏㅜ 좀ㅅ ㅑ ㅔㄱㄷㄴㄴㄷㅇ ㅠㅕㅅ.. okay lol I found out what happened..some how I changed the language setting for this Apple computer. I found this little flag at the top of the screen and clicked it and it turns out that the rest of what I wrote ^^^up there is Korean. I don’t know how to translate it on WordPress so you can go to Dictionary.com, click on translator at the top of the website and from there copy, paste and a whole lot of other stuff.

About the rest of my post I don’t even remember what exactly I wanted to write, this is what the devil does to interrupt. Praise be to God…because the devil is not gonna steal my joy!

Thanks for reading and once again I hope you have or have had a blessed day.

For everyone in NYC I hope you’re out there enjoyin’ this warm weather!!!!!
