Watch “”I will wait for you” by Official P4CM Poet JANETTE…IKZ” on YouTube

I first saw this a few years ago while participating in a purity program. Now years later, listening to this poem inspires me to draw closer to God, my heavenly Father and to wait on Him and the one who He has chosen. I don’t remember sharing this, so I thought, why not?

The woman who wrote this poem and ministered it is now married!! Check out P4CM to watch her story.

Be Encouraged. Music: God is Blessing by Jonathan Nelson

I know I posted for the day already, but this cannot wait…

“I know you’ve been waiting for a blessing from the Lord,
God hasn’t forgotten you, He hasn’t forgotten you”

Honestly, sometimes it may feel like God has forgotten about you, but truly He hasn’t. He is still with You as long as you are keeping His commandments, God promised to never leave you or forsake you so take Him at His word and trust Him, He’s still with you and he is still blessing. For that specific blessing you’ve been waiting for, have you asked Him? Have you acknowledged Him about it? If you have then keep waiting because God is blessing. Right now He is blessing!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5,6

“Be not anxious or careful for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6,7

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7:7-11

A Few Bible Verses For Waiting

Psalm 39:7 And now, Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in Thee.

Psalm 37:7-9 Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret, it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land

Psalm 62:5-8 My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and my glory rest; the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

Psalm 52:8-9

Psalm 130:5-8

Romans 8:25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Waiting Is More Than Just Patience…

…it’s about faith.

Waiting on the Lord gives us time to prepare for what is to come and it also shows or proves how much faith we really have. If we are waiting for something like breakthrough, salvation for someone we care about, healing or anything else according to God’s will and His word, we must not give up. If we give up waiting and move on to something else this shows that we need more faith. More faith to wait and to believe that soon what we are waiting for will be manifested. We cannot rush God, He works in His own time, He is all-knowing, He sees everything, His word says that He loves us*. His word says all things work together for good to them that love God to those who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). There comes a time in the waiting season where it’s not only about patience but about faith. To keep on believing, trusting and yes, to keep on waiting.

*John 3:16, Jeremiah 31:3, Romans 8:38-39, Psalm 107:8, John 15:13.

Waiting isn’t always a matter of patience, it is more a matter of faith.

Simeon waited to see Christ(Luke 2:22-38). Abraham waited for God to manifest His promises in his(Abrahams life) even though through it Sarah or Abraham himself may have doubted for a short time. I guarantee there are many others in the Bible who waited on God.

Let us hold tightly to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. Hebrews 10:23

Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
      And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
      For the LORD is a God of justice;
      Blessed are all those who wait for Him.

—————————————-Isaiah 30:18 (New King James Version)

Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you;
   therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the LORD is a God of justice.
   Blessed are all who wait for him!

—————————————-Isaiah 30:18 (New International Version)

Earlier caught myself thinking I’ll wait on someone, but ultimately I want to wait on the Lord. I’m not taking about waiting for someone to come out of the mall or waiting for the fast food delivery, but about waiting for the Lord with trust in life’s circumstances, in the hills and the low streams, the rocky mountains and the flowery fields, in it all I shall wait on the Lord, with expectancy.

Sometimes waiting is more about faith, than it is about patience.

Who are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? and Are you waiting with patience and faith?
