Whatever my eyes desired I did not keep from them. I did not withhold my heart from any pleasure, For my heart rejoiced in all my labor; And this was my reward from all my labor.
Ecclesiastes 2:10 NKJV
It makes sense to me. Especially since I’ve started working one year, I think I would want to satisfy my desires for the work I’ve been doing seems tough.
When I was younger I loved the food industry. My passion with food started with an Easy bake oven many years ago. A Chriatmas present.
Many, many years later I am so thankful to finally be working in the food industry. Especially my favorite reataurante here in the US. I’ve found that eating at this restaurant is no where near the same as working in this restaurant.
Also, for the younger ones out there in the world, don’t be fooled by the television shows or movies. Before entering the dood industry with this entry-level job, I did not think working with food would be so demanding, stressful and even strict when it comes to food temperature zones and storage. It’s serious business *raised eyebrow stern face emoji*
A few years ago I remember watching the movie The Hundred Foot Journey, a great movie. It is easier to sit or lay down relaxed watching this movie versus being in the kitchen.
Remember that saying, something with it’s hot in the kitchen…well it’s hot on the line too.
